We came on a pretty hot day hoping for some coffee to wake us up. Ordered an ice latte and also a gibraltar! The owner was super friendly and a super cute shiba! We chatted with him about our jobs and our visit while enjoying the delicious coffee. He was pleasantly surprised that we were traveling for so long and not changing jobs which actually made us feel very lucky that we have been able to do Kyushu trips every year. Thank you for the kind hospitality and the amazing drinks!

Wonderful coffee shop! This place is a gem and is a must stop if you are looking for a nice cup as you’re exploring Kagoshima. We enjoyed a few lattes and their hot dog - all of which were very satisfying. The master of this shop is very friendly and interesting, we enjoyed speaking with him and listening to his vinyl collection. Thank you and will come back next time we are in Kagoshima

Sako and Ten-chan (white shiba) have been very friendly and kind to us! Can’t rave about the coffee enough, it has the nutty and bitter notes. Pretty much the kind of coffee we like :)) Thank you!

I have been living in Japan for just under a year and have been lucky enough to travel to a lot of places. This is one of the best places I have been, coffee was excellent and the owner was very friendly and was good at speaking English (as well as humouring me with my poor Japanese abilities). He introduced us to locals and they recommended other places to go and explore. Can’t recommend this place enough :-)

Visited in mid-July 2025 Super chill coffee shop. The owner definitely has very nice sense of music and he plays it with phonograph vinyl record. What a man of culture the dude really is. The pour over coffee, with medium roast beans, itself was absolutely amazing and very well-balanced. It's a work of art. I paired it with the ham and cheese toast as parts of my quick lunch. Glad the dude put the toast back on the toaster to keep it warm.

I absolutely love this coffee shop! The vibe is fantastic, with beautiful decorations and great music that sets the perfect atmosphere. We tried the latte and the Gibraltar (similar to a cortado), and they were some of the best coffees we've had in Japan. It's rare to find such amazing espresso here! If you're a coffee lover, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

We stumbled upon this little gem of a café and it instantly became one of the highlights of our trip. The atmosphere is wonderfully cosy—you can really feel the love that went into every detail of the space. The walls are filled with little treasures, from movie memorabilia (including an original Back to the Future poster from the 80s!) to shelves of records, giving it a nostalgic and personal touch. The owner, Shōta, is absolutely delightful. We ended up having such a lovely chat with him, and you could tell he genuinely cares about creating a welcoming space for everyone who walks through the door. His record player is always spinning great music, and when we mentioned the kind of music we liked, he surprised us by putting on a Nujabes record—such a thoughtful gesture that made the experience even more special. This café isn’t just a place to grab a drink—it feels like stepping into someone’s living room, full of warmth, character, and soul. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town!
